Sambla Group launches credit card comparison service in Norway

Sambla Group is taking another step forward in Norway by introducing a new credit card comparison service via its Norwegian platform, Sambla.no. The service is designed to help consumers navigate and compare a wide range of credit cards, enabling smarter financial choices with greater clarity and transparency.

Credit cards provide a pre-approved credit line for purchases, often including an interest-free period of 30–45 days. But differences in fees, interest rates and terms can make it difficult to find the right option. With the new comparison tool, users can review multiple credit card offers based on key factors such as annual fees, interest rates and grace periods, and quickly identify the card best suited to their needs. After selecting an offer, they can proceed directly with the issuer’s application process, supported by Sambla’s integration and guidance.

In addition to comparing fees, interest rates, and terms, the service also helps users explore the full range of benefits that come with different credit cards. Through clear and structured information, users can easily identify which cards offer the most valuable perks — such as travel insurance, cashback programs, flight discounts, or mortgage benefits — based on their individual spending habits and priorities.

“Almost two-thirds of Norwegians already have a credit card, so expanding into credit card comparison is a natural next step in our ambition to be the trusted personal finance partner throughout every stage of life. Several of our existing lending and mortgage partners have also asked for this opportunity as they see strong value in extending their collaboration with us into the credit card space.” says Yazdan Nasri, Head of Commercial at Sambla Group.

This launch is part of Sambla Group’s broader ambition to strengthen responsible lending across its Nordic markets. The company’s sustainability work includes integrating principles of fairness across its offerings, with a focus on consumer rights, transparency and high ethical standards.

“With credit cards playing a bigger role in people’s everyday finances, it is essential to make the market more transparent and easy to navigate. Our goal with this launch is not only to give customers better tools to compare offers, but also to promote responsible use of credit and strengthen financial confidence across the market,” says Hans Skruvfors, CEO of Sambla Group.

"Norwegians have become more aware of their own personal finances and place higher demands on both overview and conditions. With Sambla's solution, the application for a credit card is sent to several banks at the same time, so that the customer can compare not only interest rates and fees, but also the actual benefits each card offers – whether it's travel insurance, bonus points or other benefits that suit different needs.” says Fabian Grimelund, Managing Director Norway at Sambla Group.
