Sambla launches vehicle loans in Sweden as more people look for simple ways to finance a car
For many Swedish households, a car is an essential part of everyday life, but buying one is also one of the larger private investments people make. Sambla Sweden is now launching Sambla Vehicle Loans, a financing solution that makes it possible to apply for a loan directly in connection with the vehicle purchase and then track and manage the loan in the Sambla app.
Sambla Vehicle Loans are aimed at consumers who want simple and transparent financing when buying a car or another type of vehicle. Customers can borrow between SEK 10,000 and SEK 200,000. The financing is offered through vehicle dealers connected to Sambla’s company MyMoney and is granted subject to standard credit assessment.
“Buying a car is often a major decision, both practically and financially. That is why the financing needs to be easy to understand, easy to compare and possible to manage digitally after the purchase. With Sambla Vehicle Loans, we want to make that part of the car purchase clearer for the customer,” says Hans Skruvfors, CEO of Sambla Group.
The launch comes at a time when many households need to weigh the role a car plays in everyday life against the total cost of ownership. For commuters, families with children and people living in areas where public transport is not sufficient, a car may be necessary to make work, school runs, childcare drop-offs and pick-ups, and leisure activities fit together. At the same time, buying a vehicle often requires careful planning of the purchase price, financing and ongoing costs.
With Sambla Vehicle Loans, customers can apply for financing directly in connection with the vehicle purchase through vehicle dealers connected to Sambla’s company MyMoney. If the loan is approved, the customer can easily track and manage it in the Sambla app. The product complements Sambla’s broader personal finance offering by meeting a specific financing need linked to a clear life situation.
The used car market is also playing an increasingly important role in how households meet their transport needs. By financing used vehicles, more existing cars can remain in use for longer, while a growing second-hand market for electric cars is making electrification more accessible to more consumers.
“For many people, the right car is not about buying new, but about finding a vehicle that suits their needs and finances over time. A well-functioning used car market enables more people to make smarter choices, while also giving more vehicles a longer life,” says Klas-Johan Claeson, Deputy CEO of Sambla Group.

Sambla’s tips: How to prepare for buying a car
Calculate the full cost of the car, not just the price. Factor in insurance, tax, servicing, tyres, fuel or electricity, parking and depreciation. This gives you a more realistic picture of what the car will actually cost each month.
Set a clear budget before you start looking. Decide how much the car may cost in total and what monthly cost your finances can handle. This makes it easier to choose a car and financing without making decisions under time pressure.
Compare the financing carefully. Look at the interest rate, fees, loan term and total cost, not just the monthly payment. A lower monthly payment may mean a longer repayment period and a higher total cost.
Check the car before signing. When buying a used car, you should review the service history, mileage, previous owners and any debts linked to the car. Always take the car for a test drive and carefully check its condition.
Think about how the car fits your life going forward. Consider how your needs may change in the coming years. Mileage, family situation, charging options, boot space and resale value can all affect whether the car is the right choice over time.
Be extra thorough when buying an electric car. Check the condition of the battery, the actual range, charging speed and what charging options you have at home or in your everyday life. This is particularly important if the car will be used for commuting or longer journeys.
Take your time. Buying a car is a major financial decision. Compare several options, ask the dealer questions and make sure you understand both the condition of the car and the financing before making a decision.
